Spoiled vs. Disciplined

I write about dog training, not child rearing, but the following story may wake some people up, as raising dogs and raising kids do have a lot of parallels.

A woman I know locally just lost her grandson last week. He lived in a town about six hours away, and I had never met him. Last Saturday afternoon, three days before his twentieth birthday, there was a knock at his front door. He answered the door and was shot five times!
